Sketches

These are thumbnails of the illustrations. This is the scene where Cinderella wishes for a beautiful gown from her fairy god-person and this god-person also showed options that she does not need to go but Cinderella insisted. In this version, there was no gender specified. For a change, I made it into a male. I dabbled in how to use spaces and compositions for this plate. Storytelling is key to this piece as we were challenged to illustrate without putting on text from the tale.
The color palette I envisioned is more on the blues that will contrast the neutrals (brown, white, and black). Cinderella is colored in neutrals while the fairy god-person is in blues with a hint of gold (magic) to signify their character descriptions.
*The illustrations are for spread pages with or without text.
